Smile Studio Dental

A dental practice whose homepage shows the next three open appointments, read live from its own diary.

It is a real, working site — but the business is invented, so the phone number and address are deliberately unusable.

The Smile Studio Dental homepage

The problem

Most practice websites end at a phone number, so every appointment costs someone a phone call during opening hours — which are the hours their patients are also at work. The site should be able to take the request itself, without pretending to confirm something a receptionist has not seen.

What I built

  • The next three open times, read from the live diary and shown in the hero rather than buried behind a form
  • A booking calendar that only offers days a chosen treatment actually fits into
  • Requests arrive as requests — staff confirm them, and the patient is told plainly that nothing is booked yet
  • Staff generate months of availability from a pattern, in the dashboard, without a developer
  • Patient reviews, held for approval before anything appears publicly
  • A team roster and a clinic gallery the practice edits itself

Why it is here

The full booking engine, and the discipline around it: a request is never dressed up as a confirmation.
